Arkansas Times: “The billboards that cruised through Fort Smith, Russellville and Little Rock earlier this week warned women that what they think they’ll get and what they’ll actually get at these crisis pregnancy centers may not match up.”

ARKANSAS This week, Mayday Health led a three day mobile billboard tour across Arkansas, warning of the dangers of Unregulated Pregnancy Clinics (UPCs), powered by research conducted by Reproductive Health and Freedom Watch, an organization that exposes and counters efforts to obstruct access to reproductive and maternal health care. The billboard tour stopped outside of six Arkansas UPCs and served as a reminder of the significant challenges that UPCs pose to achieving high-quality reproductive and maternal health care and patient privacy. As reported by the Arkansas Times, “Medical information shared with these centers may not be private, and the options they offer are limited.”

“This week’s actions in Arkansas highlight the urgent need for oversight of unregulated pregnancy clinics (UPCs),” said Reproductive Health and Freedom Watch Executive Director Debra Rosen. “UPCs are receiving millions of dollars in state funding, with Arkansas taxpayer dollars allocated to UPCs doubling in 2024 and a proposal to allocate more in 2025 (HB 1202). Despite this surge in financial support, there has been no corresponding increase in oversight or accountability. Mayday Health’s three-day mobile billboard campaign raised awareness across Arkansas, warning women about the risks associated with UPCs.”
